What is the Education Students' Association?
EDSA is an executive committee run BY students FOR students.
Each year an executive body and representatives from each area of the Education program are elected to take on the following:
- Represent the Education student body
- Organize workshops for professional development
- Organize social activities
- Promote the professional sharing of resources and ideas
- Provide student representation in faculty committees
- Act as a liaison and communicator between faculty and the student body
Why should I contact EDSA?
- You would like to volunteer as a EDSA representative
- You have a question or need tickets to a workshop or social event
- You have a workshop or social event idea
- You have a concern about the Education program or faculty member
- You are looking for or have teaching resources you would like to share
- You have another question or concern that is unanswered
How do I find out what EDSA is doing?
- Read EDSA emails to find out what events and workshops are coming up.
- Surf EDSA’s website updated throughout the year with ongoing events, meeting times, and office hours. Check it out at www.educ.uvic.ca/edsa
- Check out our bulletin board on the 1st floor of the MacLaurin D wing.
- Visit our office in MacLaurin A163
- Ask your EDSA program representative (3rd, 4th, 5th Yr Elementary, P.E., PDPP, Music etc.)
